FAQ

Why are some characters garbled?
VCF files often use Quoted-Printable encoding. Our tool includes a decoder to handle most cases. If issues persist, try saving your original VCF file with UTF-8 encoding.
Can I import VCF to Outlook?
Yes. Outlook supports CSV input well. Convert your VCF to CSV here, then use Outlook's "Import/Export" feature to import the CSV.
Can I use this offline?
Yes! Once the page loads, you can disconnect from the internet and use the tool indefinitely. All logic is client-side.
How to view VCF files on PC/Mac?
On Windows, use the built-in "Contacts" app or Outlook. On Mac, open with the "Contacts" app. Converting to Excel using this tool is also a great way to view them.
Why are dates shown as ##### in Excel?
This indicates the column width is too narrow. Double-click the column header edge to auto-fit, or right-click to change format to "Text" or "Date".
Difference between vCard 2.1 and 3.0?
vCard 2.1 is an older format used by legacy phones. vCard 3.0 is the modern standard with better encoding support. We default to 3.0 for best compatibility.
Can I convert iPhone VCF contacts?
Yes. Files exported from iPhone (iCloud) or Android backups are fully supported and can be converted to Excel seamlessly.
Is there a file size limit?
Since it runs locally, there's no strict server limit. It depends on your browser's memory. Parsing 10,000+ contacts typically takes just a few seconds.
